Estonian lutenist Kristiina Watt and Bulgarian violinist Sophia Prodanova met whilst studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. Whilst based in the UK they both perform internationally with many of the leading groups in the scene of historical performance including the Academy of Ancient Music, The English Concert, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Pygmalion, Arcangelo, Dunedin Consort, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Helsinki Baroque and Ensemble Masques.

‘Il volo della fantasia’ explores 17th century music for violin and theorbo by composers who experimented boldly with new instrumental techniques and increased freedom in musical form resulting in repertoire characterized by virtuosity and highly passionate expression. Featured composers include Schmelzer, Mealli, Kapsberger, Matteis, Marini.
